About me

Dott.ssa Maria Chiara Giovenco
Official Guide of Region Campania.

I'm Maria Chiara Giovenco, a young Neapolitan.

In 2000 I got my diploma from the Liceo Classico "A. Pansini ".

In 2005 I graduated with full marks in Conservation of Cultural Assets, from the University of Naples Suor Orsola Benincasa, with a thesis on the Roman port submerged in the waters of Lucrino (Pozzuoli), entitled "The Portus Julius".

In 2010 I obtained my Bachelor degree in Classical Archaeology at the School of the University of Salento, presenting a project on an hypothetical restoration of two monuments of the Roman Pozzuoli, the Amphitheatre "minor" and "Thermal Neptune ".

In the same year I qualified for in the profession of tourist guide of Regione Campania, in Italian and English.
In 2008 I started working with schools on educational projects, conducting workshops and guided tours.

I worked for Regione Campania within projects to promote various cultural sites such asCampi Flegrei Retour 2009 and The Bay of Naples 2010, conducting guided tours aimed at Italian and foreign tourists.

This job allows me to continue to pursue my passion for archeology and at the same time to share it with others with love for my land.
The project "Archeocampania" was created to support the enhancement of my homeland and promote its beauty, the best known sites as well as the less popular ones.

My idea for carrying it out is through walks and guided tours, providing professionalism and passion.

Look around my web-site and choose the route that suits you at best!
